in iphoto there's an album called "last 12 months", adequately named for showing all the pictures i've taken within the last year.

and what shows up today...

my life this time last year was so completely different than it is now and than it had ever been before

looking back, everything was so new and exciting in my heart and mind

BUT i know at the time i was also exhausted and afraid

i believe it was good ole march 2009 that i had to go home from work because i couldn't breathe.

and when i saw ryan adams in memphis

and when we played hide and seek in the park

and when i experienced new friendships, new loves, and new hungers

i do believe it was one of the only times in my life when i felt beautiful

i let go

and i wonder now where i'll be this time next year.
